Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch and LOTS of fun!

 

 

 

 

The cousins (as they call themselves) and the moms (Jen and I) dashed after church to Hunsader Farms Pumpkin Festival! We had a GREAT time! (Except when we lost Sammy - that was bad! Then we found him - that was VERY good)

I am thankful that "the cousins" are making memories together! Thank you Lord!

 

Rays Fever!!

 

I knew we'd catch it sooner or later...well we caught it! Rays Fever! Yes we are guilty of jumping on board cause the team has done so well but at least we are having fun!

Sammy is sporting a ray hawk! Designed and created by our 6 year old neighbor!

International Night FUN!

Tonight was our 2nd Annual International Night for Mission 659 Kids! In my mind the plans started about 2 weeks ago when I visioned a huge plane made of chairs and a white roll of plastic tablecloth. Seriously, I spent hours thinking of how to make it work...how many chairs, what about boarding passes, oh, an inflight safety video..the ideas kept coming. Finally the week arrived and I could not get the image from my head into reality. So, Thursday night I arrived at church and started building the plane. It came together pretty quick! That's the first picture. What you can't see is that off the sides are two large wings of the plane. Everyone who came to International Night recieved a boarding pass with a seat assignment and a Passport to collect stamps from every country and take notes about cool things they learned!

Katy and Kirsten decided on the country of Iceland. Together we learned and talked about Iceland and with help from Sammy - we made a project board about Iceland - Land of Fire and Ice!

At the end of the night, we hand out participation certificates to all the students and pray for each country represented. It was a really great night!

Sammy's Funnies

Recently, Sammy has said the FUNNIEST things... thought I would share a couple to make you laugh!

Wednesday, we were in a grocery store walking around the 'pharmacy' area...looking for mouth wash.
Sammy: Mom, we need chin soap!
Me: Huh?
Sammy: We need soap for your chin!
Me: Who needs it?
Sammy: Daddy!
Me: Oh, shaving cream?
Sammy: NO! Chin Soap!

Thursday morning he was getting dressed. He sees his belt on the floor in the closet
Sammy: Are those hula-hoop pants?
Me: What?
Sammy: I want to wear hula-hoop pants like Daddy!
Me: Where's hula hoop pants?
Sammy: (now frustrated, digs through his drawer for pants with belt loops) these!
Me: O!
